"THIS IS HUNGER" EXHIBIT, SPONSORED BY MAZON, AT
THE CONSERVATIVE SYNAGOGUE: MAY 1st - 4th
A Message from Rabbi Paskind:
Hunger is an issue that hits hard with us in the Jewish community, especially as we commemorate Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. So many of our children choose to focus on food security around the time of their B'nei Mitzvah, and all of us participate in food drives throughout the year.
Now we have a rare opportunity to experience an interactive exhibit about hunger, sponsored by MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger. "This Is Hunger" is a powerful and interactive exhibit, housed in a big rig, that takes individuals on a journey; one that will challenge their beliefs about who in America struggles with hunger and why, and inspire them to take action.
It will be on display at The Conservative Synagogue in Westport next week (Monday through Thursday). Space is limited so you must register in advance. Click here for more information on "The is Hunger" and how to register.
I hope to see you there,
Rabbi Ita Paskind
