Meet Rabbi Lauren Tuchman, the first blind woman in the world to enter the rabbinate.

Time & Location
Jan 26, 2020, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Congregation Beth El, 109 East Ave, Norwalk, CT 06851, USA
About The Event
We are living in a time of radical inclusion, a time of realizing that it’s not enough to be “warm and welcoming.” Jewish communities include people of different backgrounds, levels of Jewish literacy, ethnicities, races, and abilities. Jewish communities in the 21st century must make specific efforts to learn about the needs of all people and work to enable their equal participation.
Rabbi Lauren Tuchman is (as far as she is aware) the first blind woman in the world to enter the rabbinate. She will bring her innovative leadership and teaching concerning inclusion of Jews with disabilities in all aspects of Jewish life.
Open to the community free of charge
