The Jewish Community Foundation is established to serve as a fund development vehicle, depository, and investment and financial services manager for tax-exempt organizations serving the Jewish community of upper Fairfield County, the Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County (the “Federation”), and other agencies of upper Fairfield County (the “Community”). The principal purposes of the Foundation are to provide a means of accepting gifts, bequests, devises, and other forms of endowment donations on behalf of the Community; to invest, reinvest, and otherwise manage and administer its assets; and to provide financial assistance consistent with the mission of the FJP, other charitable organizations of the Community, the long-term needs of the Community, the intent of the donor, and (when applicable) the discretion of the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
