featuring Robbery of the Heart film screening and talkback

5-year-old Harry Weichsel survived Kristallnacht in Wetter, Germany by hiding under his grandparents' bed.

In 2008, the longtime Bridgeport resident returned to his home town for the rededication of Wetter's synagogue, together with his sister, Eva Hausman, and fellow survivors and descendants of
the lost Jewish community.

The commemoration was rocked by antisemitic vandalism.

Filmmaker Micah Brandt captured the remarkable turn of events.
